Make your Post against Taxes Today

This week our legislators are making decisions on Pennsylvania’s new state budget, ultimately deciding whether or not to cut spending or raise taxes.  To help them hear our voices, our State Republicans urge voters to ‘post’ tax protests on their legislatures doors with post-it notes.  Governor Rendell is hoping to pass a tax increase of .5%, increasing the income tax from the current 3.07% to 3.57%.  Not only is this the first income tax hike in five years, but it’s also one of the biggest tax increases in Pa’s history.  To find more money, legislators should not be seeking money from their citizen’s households, but they should be looking for the excess money (or wasteful spending) in their own houses of the government.  So make your voice heard today by stopping by your state representative’s and state senator’s door with a post-it to protest!
