Obama Plans to Push LGBT Rights Across the Globe

December 8, 2011

From our friends at the Family Research Council:

The Obama administration put a bow on its efforts to radicalize other countries on the issue of homosexuality. In their observance of the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights, President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton made it clear where their “human rights” priorities lie. In keeping with the anniversary, the White House issued a “Presidential Memorandum” directing “all agencies engaged abroad” to promote the homosexual and transgender agenda.

Abortion Agenda Trumps Helping Those in Slavery

November 29, 2011

According to the Washington Post, the decision to pull the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) funding wasn’t based on agency reviews, but on religious bias. Under Health and Human Services’ own evaluation process, the USCCB scored “excellent” marks for its effectiveness. As it should. In just five years, its program helped more than 2,000 sex slaves find food, shelter, and medical care. But instead of renewing the contract, HHS redirected its grant to abortion-friendly organizations that scored “significantly below” the USCCB.

October 12, 2011

Obama Denounces NC Marriage Amendment

September 23, 2011

The Obama administration has denounced approval by the North Carolina legislature of a ballot initiative to define marriage as between one man and one woman.

“The President has long believed that gay and lesbian couples deserve the same rights and legal protections as straight couples,” White House spokesman Shin Inouye said. “That’s why he has called for repeal of the so-called Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and determined that his administration would no longer defend the constitutionality of DOMA in the courts.”

Strong Preference Given to Pro-Abortion Groups for Anti-Sex Trafficking Grants

September 12, 2011

U.S. Health officials are prioritizing abortion-friendly clinics over pro-life and religious facilities in handing out grants to help sex trafficking victims.

Planned Parenthood clinics, which will likely benefit significantly from the grant prioritization, have been found by undercover sting operations to actually aid investigators posing as sex traffickers of young foreign girls.

President Obama Goes After Pro-Life Sidewalk Counselors

September 7, 2011

NPR reports, Obama is deciding to crack down on those protesting, conducting sidewalk counseling, or even praying for the mothers and their babies.

None of this is surprising.

This President, as a State Senator, voted against a bill requiring doctors to care for babies born after failed abortions (and then misled the media on the matter).

1,400 Lives in Jeopardy

July 15, 2010

I remember staying up late one Sunday night, sitting on the couch with my wife, watching my computer screen as the numbers came in.

As the vote became final, my heart sank. 219-212 House vote in favor of the new Health Care Reform.

I watched as Rep. Bart Stupak stood up to the microphone and declared his support for this new health care reform. He insisted that the bill makes no public funding for abortions and that “all life is precious and all life should be honored.”

President Barack Obama a few days later signed an executive order to reassure America that not a single abortion will be funded by the health care bill. He also spoke on national television telling America that no federal funding will go to cover abortions.

However, the disturbing news revealed this week is that those promises are being broken. The Obama administration has agreed to send Pennsylvania $160 million in taxpayer funds which will directly fund abortion through the recently enacted health care law.

It’s reported that this action will cover up to 5,600 people through 2014. Hypothetically, say half of those covered in this new plan are women. If half of those women were to have an abortion, these taxpayer funds could potentially cover 1,400 abortions over the next 3 years.

Mr. President, please let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and let your ‘No’, ‘No’. The people of Pennsylvania and organizations like the Pennsylvania Family Institute are already fighting a tough battle to protect the sanctity of human life. But when you repeatedly tell us no federal funding for abortions will occur and then agree to see that very thing happen, it’s beyond comprehension.

Pennsylvania’s motto consists of 3 profound words; the first of them being “Virtue”. The people of Pennsylvania demand virtuous leaders and this recent action is evidence of a lack of moral character by our country’s top leaders.
